This news is themed towards what happens that a visitor may not think about as they visit the Royal Anglian Regiment Museum (RARM). Probably not the most glamorous part of museum work, but it is important that we protect and safeguard the objects donated to the museum for generations to come.
This regimental memory comes from Major Peter Williamson about Londonderry. This photo was taken in the Autumn of 1971, on (as Peter recalls) a Saturday afternoon. Pictured is Peter as an OC of A Company of the Vikings, in Waterloo Place, awaiting the usual arrival of rioters. The two signallers with A41 radios are LCpl Clarke and Pte Lewis with Peter to the right. We would love to share any other reminiscences on the web page, so please send any Royal Anglian images along that you have a memory of to firstname.lastname@example.org
