Our collection includes artefacts and archives from across the timespan covered by the Museum, 1958 to the present, plus a small selection from our forebear regiments demonstrating how their history and their traditions inspire the soldiers of today. Many of our artefacts are on display, but about half the collection is stored elsewhere, as are our archives.
Most of our collection has been catalogued and some of our archives have been digitised. We aim to increase the amount of material available digitally over the coming years.
It is important to note that we do not hold the official personal records of those who have served in the Regiment. All official records of personnel who served later than 1920 are held by the Army Personnel Centre Glasgow; details of how to access them are here. In addition, we do not have a comprehensive list of all who have served in the Regiment so finding details about a particular individual is largely a matter of 'pot luck'.
